This story is dated, but is my experience with Intentional Living
THE POWER OF THE MASTERMIND
THE DAILY DISCIPLINE OF
HERE IS A SYNOPSIS OF MAXWELL'S
INTENTIONAL LIVING CALL
Maxwell is the only licensed leader with a team on all continents.
Maxwell -"4 things hopped into mind as the team planned"
-"Paul Martinelli, CEO OF THE JOHN MAXWELL TEAM, looks at team realistically-keeps testing. Paul’s not afraid to challenge and question. If things go well we get complacent. Leader must look realistically at team. Look at things and say they can get better.
-He upgrades continually-says this is where we are going to go.
-whenever we stop learning it’s over-learning people are humble
- learning people see the future with great optimism. "
MAXWELL'S DESCRIPTIONS OF INTENTIONAL LIVNG
This one day with you I hope to give you an uptick-a shot
-it is deliberate, consistent and willful
-consistent-day in day out with thought and heart
-willful we make a choice -unintentional life in the end is insignificant- most people do not lead their life they just accept it. Today we can turn it around.
-important-“Everything worthwhile is up hill.” Must intentionally climb-some get tired after day or two.
-everyone has uphill hopes but downhill habits. If you have downhill habits-you will never, never, never go uphill unless you change those habits.
-How do I change this? Intentional living and joining someone in the process. No one goes uphill by accidentally
-It's best way to improve your life. Intent. It's the great divide between words and life
-moves us from someday to today; from dreaming to doing
-teaches us value of front end thinking. Most think on the back end-after the fact
-it inspires us to make every day count-make every day your masterpiece.
-good intentions are vastly overrated
-intentional intentional living says we change one thing at a time
(MAXWELL THE SPOKE A BIT ON ADVANTAGES OF JOINING A MASTERMIND GROUP
-we do better when others help us out.
-master mind team-to add value to each other
-growing today is only guarantee you’ll get better tomorrow.
-create a growth environment-we trained to do this
-5 YEARS DAILY ill become an expert (Maxwell thought as a young man)-question is how far can I go not how long will it take. He said at 68 he's not an expert even though people call him one. He is still learning.
-goal and joy is not arriving but constantly growing. I fell in love with growth.
-gotta get along with people if you want them to go along with you.
-people can trace success and failures to their relationships
-be intentional in your purpose-find your big-WHY and you will find your way.
-success=when we live for self; significance=when you live for others. successful life without significance is a hollow life. The closer they (success without significance) get to the end the more empty they are.
THE GREATEST STORY IS YET TO BE TOLD-write a great story with your life
God created you to write the story only you can write, but most will let someone else write it
4 steps to intent living
1.Want to make a difference-almost all morale comes from making difference
2.Doing something that makes a difference-put passion along side people’s needs
3.With people who want to make a difference-its a team effort-Jesus did this
4.at a time when it makes a difference- got a short window with your kids-think about that. Not much time to make a difference with them.
Rule of 5 In Improving Myself so I Can Make a Difference
-every day I value me-love self
-everyday i value people-we see people not as they are, but as we are
-think and look for ways to add value to people
-I do things that add value
-encourage others to add value to others -how about the movie "It's A Wonderful Life"
"GET INTO A MMG"
